For the second time this week, one of the Lone Star State’s most wanted fugitives has been captured.

Jose Mario Lopez, 59, who was listed on the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders list, was arrested Monday in Winter Haven, Fla., according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. Lopez had been wanted for parole violation and failure to register as a sex offender.

Winter Haven police officers took him into custody without incident at a local park. No reward will be paid since his arrest was not the result of tip received through Texas Crime Stoppers, DPS said in a news release.

Lopez had been on the lam since January, when he intentionally cut off his ankle monitor and escaped from a Houston facility, the release said.

He was paroled in 2015 after receiving a 70-year sentence for a 1983 conviction in San Patricio County on a burglary charge with intent to commit a sex offense.  He was required to register as a sex offender for life.
