A man who stabbed a Corpus Christi police officer and kidnapped and raped a San Antonio teen was arrested in California last week after more than two years on Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender list.
Robert Bryan Chrismon, 54, was arrested Nov. 10 in West Hollywood for failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements and violating his parole.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department captured Chrismon without incident during a traffic stop.
Chrismon was sentenced to 55 years for the kidnapping and aggravated rape of a teenager in 1981, he received an additional 10 years after he attempted to stab a Corpus Christi police officer during an arrest, a release from the Texas Department of Public Safety said.
The arrest did not come as a result of a tip. A reward will not be paid.
