A man wanted in the connection of the murder of a 21-year-old has been named on Europe’s ‘most wanted’ list.

Shane O’Brien, 29, is the chief suspect following the unprovoked attack on Josh Hanson who was stabbed in the neck at a bar in Eastcote in October 2015.

Mr O’Brien was arrested in February 2017 in Prague for criminal assault and assault but used an Italian alias of Enzo Mellonceli, supported by false documentation, and was bailed by police. He has not been seen since.

A £50,000 award has been offered by police for Mr O’Brien’s whereabouts and his name has now appeared on the Europol list of the continent’s most wanted fugitives.

Mr Hanson, from Kingsbury, was with his girlfriend, Lucy, and friends, when he was attacked at the RE Bar in Eastcote in the early hours of October 11. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A ‘Justice for Josh’ Facebook page has been set up since his death where his mother, Tracey, has fought not only for justice but awareness of knife crime.

Tracey has previously said: “I’ll keep going until I take my last breath to make sure that not only Josh gets justice, but to raise awareness about a horrific act of violence that takes place too often.”

Mr O’Brien, originally from Ladbroke Grove in west London, is described as a white man, 6ft tall and of muscular build.
