A man named Tulsa’s “Most Wanted” fugitive before allegedly striking several cars and an officer with a pickup while trying to escape arrest was charged Thursday with the new offenses.

Members of the Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force were doing surveillance on April 12 at an apartment complex in the 4700 block of South Jackson Avenue, watching for Anthony Michael Brugh, 28, police said. He drove onto the property about 4 p.m. and reportedly smashed into two vehicles — including an unmarked police cruiser — and struck Officer Ray Gooldy in the leg, police said.

Gooldy was treated at the scene.

Officers fired their weapons in response to the assault and struck the pickup. The vehicle led officers north on U.S. 75. It exited at North Lewis Avenue, wound through some city streets and eventually ended on Jamestown Avenue, police said.

Brugh was arrested after a foot pursuit. When officers searched the truck, they discovered it was stolen, police said.

He was charged Thursday with assault with a dangerous weapon, endangering others while eluding a police officer, possession of a stolen vehicle, two counts of leaving the scene of a collision involving property damage and driving without a license, according to court documents.

Prior to that arrest he was wanted on charges of possession of a firearm after a felony conviction, possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of methamphetamine, knowingly concealing stolen property, possession of a controlled drug, resisting arrest and obstructing an officer.
