Middleboro neighborhood locked down after armed fugitive fires at police – Taunton Daily Gazette

The Middleboro Police Department said that people on Wareham Street, from Smith Street to Spruce Street, should shelter in place. State Police said it was assisting Middleboro police with a “barricaded subject.”

MIDDLEBORO – Police in Middleboro said they are responding to a man barricaded in his home on Wareham Street.

The Middleboro Police Department said that people on Wareham Street, from Smith Street to Spruce Street, should shelter in place. State Police said it was assisting Middleboro police with a “barricaded subject.”

Police also closed the Exit 3 ramp on Interstate 495 North as a result of the incident.

“All others please avoid the area at this time,” said Middleboro police, in a tweet around 10:30 a.m.
