DPS: Alleged cartel member with Laredo ties added to Texas Most Wanted list – Laredo Morning Times

A fugitive with Laredo ties and an extensive criminal history was recently added to the Texas 10 Most Wanted list.

Ramon Mendoza Jr., 45, is wanted for vehicle theft, engaging in organized criminal activity, theft of property and conspiracy to commit theft of property, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. Authorities said Mendoza is affiliated with a Mexican cartel and should be considered armed and dangerous.

According to DPS, the Webb County Sheriff’s Office holds warrants for his arrest for engaging in organized criminal activity, theft of property and conspiracy to commit theft of property. In addition, Mendoza is wanted by the Laredo Police Department for vehicle theft.

Authorities said Mendoza may be known by the nickname of “Mon.” His last known address is in San Antonio.

Mendoza has been wanted since December 2016 in connection to a multi-agency investigation of a transnational criminal organization involved in the transportation of stolen vehicles from San Antonio to Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, authorities said.

Mendoza is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs approximately 170 pounds. He has tattoos on his abdomen, back, chest, right shoulder, both arms and both legs.

Any information leading to his arrest would earn the tipster up to $7,500.
